St. Petersburg Times' Tom Jones

Tom Jones, St. Petersburg Times Longtime St. Petersburg Times' sportswriter Tom Jones is host of The Press Box.

A native of Pittsburgh, Tom began his sportswriting career with the old St. Petersburg Evening Independent in 1986. He also worked at the Tampa Tribune, Minneapolis Star-Tribune, and is in his third stint with the St. Petersburg Times. In his 22 years as a sportswriter, Tom has covered virtually every professional and college sport, but mostly has covered the National Hockey League and Major League Baseball. He admits that hockey was, is and will always be his first love.

Tom lives in St. Petersburg with his wife, Patty, and sons, Sam and Andy.
