Madeira Beach Mad Dog Triathlon

Madeira Beach Mad Dog TriathlonDate: Saturday, May 31st and Sunday, June 1st

Time: 8:00 a.m. Saturday; 7:00 a.m. Sunday

Location: Archibald Park, 150th Avenue & Gulf Blvd., Madeira Beach

The St. Pete Mad Dogs are one of the oldest and largest pure triathlon clubs in the world. Each year they host the Madeira Beach Mad Dog Triathlon at Archibald Beach Park on Madeira Beach. The event weekend consists of a children's mini triathlon on Saturday and a sprint distance triathlon on Sunday. Get your running shoes, bicycles and swim suits out and join in the challenge. Be sure to pre-register.

7th Annual Golf Tournament

The United States Marshal's Service along with the Federal Court Security Officers are holding their 7th Annual Golf Tournament. The purpose of the event is to raise funds to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

There will be goody bags for all golfers and drawings for door prizes. For additional information call 813-664-3099. Bay News 9 is proud to support this event.

Greater New Port Richey Main Street invites you to join us for this award winning event that combines live Blues music performed by local and regional legends all weekend, tasty seafood, beautiful boats, an arts & craft fair and activities for the entire family.

Admission to the festival is free with a suggested $2 donation to help Greater New Port Richey Main Street continue bringing these great events to New Port Richey. Most, but not all, activities are free of charge.

Tampa Bay on Demand's Virginia Johnson will keep things moving Saturday night between bands. Don't miss this great event!

Citrus County Hurricane Expo

Location: Crystal River Armory

Join Bay News 9 at the new location and get all the information you need to prepare for the 2008 hurricane season. We will be handing out hurricane tracking charts and Project Weather Activity books for kids. Plus meet Bay News 9 meteorologist Josh Linker and ask him your weather related questions.

Pinellas Hurricane Expo

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Location: Largo Cultural Center

Come and meet Bay News 9 Chief Meteorologist Mike Clay at the Pinellas Hurricane Expo. The event is free and you'll get a free hurricane tracking chart and Project Weather Activity Book for the kids. Plus there will be displays from Pinellas Animal Services, the City of Largo Fire and Rescue, Pinellas County Utilities, the American Red Cross and many more. Don't get caught unprepared!

South Tampa Hurricane Expo

Location: Tampa Women's Club

Bay News 9 meteorologist Brian McClure will be at the South Tampa Hurricane Expo to answer your weather related questions. Get your free hurricane tracking chart, hurricane guide and Project Weather Activity Books for the kids.

The Tampa Women's Club is located at Bayshore Boulevard and Bay to Bay.

Polk County Hurricane Expo

Location: Winter Haven

The Orange Dome at the Chain O' Lakes comlex in Winter Haven is the place to be for all of your hurricane information. Bay News 9 Chief Meteorologist, and Weather Expert, Mike Clay will be there to answer your hurricane questions. Bay News 9 will be handing out laminated hurricane tracking charts and Project Weather activity books for the kids.

This year's expo will include disaster preparedness seminars, power tool safety demonstrations, children's activities, exhibits, area experts, concessions and much more!
