PASCO COUNTY (Bay News 9) -- A Pasco County engaged couple is getting closer to the altar one pie at a time.
Christopher Moore and his fiance, Shay Gregory, bake custom cakes and pies. The business is called Granny Bubba, named after Shay's grandmother.
Moore started the business a couple weeks ago when a motorcycle wreck kept him from working.
From there, the business has gained popularity by word of mouth.
"We're starting to get hits on the website that we weren't getting," Moore said. "We don't know how we even got them."
The couple is hoping to sell enough pies to help pay for their wedding.
"We haven't set a date yet for our wedding because we haven't sold enough pie," Moore said.
For now, Moore runs the business out of his Land O' Lakes condo.
He hopes to one day sell the pies on a home shopping TV channel and open a warehouse in order to sell the pies internationally.
