Water restrictions in Hernando County have been on a roller coaster ride of late.
And confusion for homeowners has increased with that ride.
Hernando homeowners were on a once a week lawn watering schedule for most of the recent drought. About a month ago, the Southwest Florida Water Management District approved a switch to twice a week watering.
Now, county leaders have decided to switch back to once a week watering.
That has left some residents asking just when can they water.
"I'll still say once a week is good until it (lawn) really starts coming back,'' said Hernando-area landscaper Michael Wingrove. "And our water levels rise some more.''
The county commission's decision was not unanimous. In fact, the vote was only 3-2 in favor of once a week watering.
