- Pasco budget may close library, charge fees at public park (July 17, 2010)
Pasco County commissioners are reconsidering a plan to close a library after thousands of residents voiced their opposition.
County commissioners had planned to close Centennial Park Library in Holiday.
According to Bay News 9's partner paper, the St. Petersburg Times, they are now looking at other options after about 3,000 residents signed a petition urging leaders not to shut it down.
Instead, the residents said the county should just cut the hours at two libraries. Commissioners are considering that proposal.
