Hundreds of men in the Bay area lined up at Tropicana Field Thursday for free prostate cancer education and screenings.
The event 'Bat for the Cure' was held by the Tampa Bay Rays and Moffitt Cancer Center.
"Just because you feel good, doesn't mean you're good," said Bat for the Cure founder Ed Randall, a prostate cancer survivor himself.
According to the American Cancer Society, one in six men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2010, with African American men at an even higher risk of one in four.
"It's a little uncomfortable but a small price to pay to ensure your health and well being," said Rowan Philp.
Every man who attended the event received two free tickets to a Rays game.
"If we save one life, we're batting a thousand," said Randall.
