A 20-year-old Hernando County man has been charged with battery after deputies say he threw a cookie at his sister.
According to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office, Jeremy Barth was arguing with his sister on Saturday and threw a cookie at her, hitting her in the face.
Barth's sister's boyfriend confronted Barth, and the sheriff's office said Barth hit the boyfriend numerous times in the back of the head, knocking him to the ground.
The sheriff's office charged Barth with battery and domestic battery and said that because Barth has prior convictions for battery, both charges were elevated to felonies.
Barth is behind held without bond for the domestic battery charge and $2,000 bond for the battery charge.
