Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum braved the Tiger Den on Tuesday afternoon as he answered questions about the upcoming election.
McCollum is running for the position of Florida governor as a Republican.
The bi-partisan group prides itself on "carving up politicians for lunch," by drilling them with intense questions.
The theme of the session was to ask McCollum questions in attempt to see if his experience could trump the extensive financial funds that his main competitor Rick Scott boasts.
A Tiger Bay memeber asked McCollum about his policy on state spending.
"If you think about our constitution the way our founding fathers designed it, they enlisted certain enumerated powers and the rest of those powers were reserved to the states," McCollum said. "They didn't give everything to the federal government."
The Florida primary elections will take place August 24. Bay News 9 will have extensive coverage of the race in our Political Connections show, which airs on Sundays at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. and also on the Florida Decides page.
