If an address ends with:

0 or 1: Monday
2 or 3: Tuesday
4 or 5: Wednesday
6 or 7: Thursday
8 or 9: Friday

Watering may take place only before 8 a.m. or after 6 p.m.

The Hernando County Board of County Commissioners adopted an ordinance at a public hearing on Tuesday setting the year-round watering restrictions for one-day-per-week.

The Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWD) enacted a twice-per-week watering rule effective July 1, but each county within the district may enact their own restrictions which may be more restrictive, but not less.

"We want to make sure that our residents fully understand that we are staying with the one-day-per-week rule which has been in effect for the past 3 1/2 years," said Health & Human Services director Jean Rags.
