The post office is located at Highway 674 and Sheffield.

Officials said the building has sustained major structural damage.

Man hit by bat at sold out Rays game

A man was hit in the head with a bat when Robinson Cano was up to bat for the Yankees in the 6th inning during a Friday night game against the Rays at the Tropicana Dome.

ST. PETERSBURG --

A man was hit in the head by a bat during a game between the New York Yankees and the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday night.

According to Rays officials, Robinson Cano was up to bat for the Yankees in the sixth inning, when pieces of his bat broke off and hit a fan in the head in the Tropicana Dome stands.

The man was taken to Bayfront Medical Center for treatment.

There is no update on his condition at this time.

The Rays ended up beating the Yankees 2 to 3.
