Pasco County commissioners decided Tuesday not to close the Centennial Park Library in Holiday.
Officials originally proposed shutting it down to save money, but after thousands of residents signed a petition, commissioners said they would reconsider the plan.
According to Bay News 9's partner paper, the St. Petersburg Times, commissioners have instead decided to shorten library hours instead. The buildings will open an hour later, except on Tuesdays. On Fridays, they will close an hour earlier.
The only library that will not see shortened hours is the Land O' Lakes branch.
