When Benjamin Hogsholm met his favorite Tampa Bay Ray Tuesday night, he had just one question.

"Will you catch my first pitch,'' the 8-year-old asked Rays pitcher David Price.

Price enthusiastically said he would and the youngster screamed his approval.

Benjamin and his parents Robin and Peter attended the Rays game as part of the Children's Dream Fund. Benjamin has been battling Acute Lymphoplastic Lukemia, generally the most aggressive form of the disease in children - but also the most treatable.

Thanks to the Children's Dream Fund, Benjamin got to spend some time with Price.

He also met other Rays players and coaches, received gifts from the team and grabbed the spotlight while throwing out that first pitch.

Benjamin is 18 months into a three and a half year treatment program and is responding well.

And after Benjamin delivered the first pitch of the evening to Price, he and his family watch the Rays' 2-1 win against Toronto.
