St. Petersburg residents are finally getting curbside recycling.
That's good news for residents who have been waiting for years to finally get the service. That means no more trips to the St. Petersburg Recycling Center. The service will cost resident $2.75 a month and is voluntary. "I'd very much consider it at my apartment because that's a pretty good price for a whole year,'' said St. Pete resident Marilyn Davies. "And I'm very firm in recycling." The city council voted unanimously Thursday to start the service. Pinellas County became a recycling program in 2008 but the city declined at that time.
