Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a man they said stabbed a man to death Friday in St. Petersburg.
According to officers, Roberto Valle was taken into custody at Kenvin's Motel on Haines Road in St. Petersburg.
Officials said Valle is the man who stabbed Donald Nemeth Friday at 5:30 p.m. in a parking lot on 62th Avenue North.
According to authorities, two witnesses said they saw Valle sitting in the passenger seat of Nemeth's car. The witnesses said they saw a struggle between the two occupants of the car and then saw Valle exit the car and run away.
Officials said Nemeth managed to drive a short distance before collapsing. He was later rushed to an area hospital where he died.
After several hours, deputies were able to track Valle down at the motel.
Detectives have charged Valle with second-degree murder and he is now in the Pinellas County Jail. Detectives have not yet determined the reason for the altercation.
