The Rays are in the middle of a heated pennant race with the New York Yankees but they still took the time to change the life of one Clearwater boy.

7-year-old Benjamin Hogsholm received the All-Star treatment by the Tampa Bay Rays during a recent trip to Tropicana Field. Benjamin was diagnosed with leukemia and is currently undergoing treatment at All Children's Speciality Care Clinic in Tampa.

Ben and his parents, Peter and Robin, were greeted like VIPs by the Rays staff, toured the dugout and watched batting practice and pregame activities from the field. Ben got to talk to many of the Rays players and coaches including Carl Crawford, Matt Joyce, Dan Johnson, Evan Longoria and Rays skipper Joe Maddon.

To top it all off, little Benjamin met his favorite player, David Price and asked him if he would catch his first pitch. Price gladly accepted Ben's offer. The two posed for a picture on the pitcher's mound after Ben's throw.

Not a cure, but a dream come true for one little boy. Sometimes, dreams are the best medicine.
