In a season where Lakeland was getting more attention off the field, the Dreadnaughts and Head Coach Bill Castle proved that their attention was on the field for the entire season. Lakeland capped off the regular season with a win over rival Kathleen to finish 10-0 on the BHSN Subway Restaurants Game of the Week, 31-21.

QB Raheeme Dumas was the star of the night rushing 17 times, for 115 yards and a TD. Through the air, Dumas was 6-15, for 117 yards and a TD pass. WR Ricquan Southward, who recentley just committed to Miami, had 2 receptions for 69 yards and a score. He also rushed the ball for 71 yards.

The Dreadnaughts jumped out to an early 14-0 lead, but quickly saw that diminish, as Kathleen RB Terry Bentley broke loose for a long run that was capped off by a short touchdown run by QB Atreyu Farrior. Bentley then busted through the Lakeland defense again to tie the game at 14-14. Bentley finished with 7 carries, 110 yards and a TD.

Following a Forrest Cunningham touchdown to put the Dreadnaughts back up seven, the Red Devils quickly rebounded with a 46-yard touchdown run by James McClinton to keep the game tied at 21.

The Lakeland defense then took over, keeping pressure on Farrior for most of the second half. Braxton Huggins capped off the scoring with a short touchdown run to put the final at 31-21.

The Dreadnaughts begin their second season at home vs. St. Cloud, while Kathleen's season comes to an end at 5-5.
