Hero gets kids connected
Monday, December 13, 2004
Diane Stanton is a public accountant in Winter Haven. For years, she has watched businesses upgrade their computers and literally throw the old ones away. One day she decided someone could benefit from those computers, especially kids. Earlier this year Diane started Computers for Kids, Inc. It's a non profit organization that takes donations of old computers, fixes them up and then donates them to families who need them. The business has already outgrown the small office they currently use and they are in need of a bigger building and more volunteers. Diane says the demand for these computers is huge and they hope to fill that need. If you would like to help either by donating money, space, computers or time you can call Computers for Kids, Inc at 863-292-0504 or look them up on the web at
