Everyday Hero Luncheon

Every Monday we shine the spotlight on someone in the bay area doing extraordinary things for their community. This past week, 9 of our past honorees were recognized for their outstanding work at our "Salute to Everyday Heroes Luncheon" at the A la Carte Pavilion Event center in Tampa.

We offered you the chance to pick three of the honorees. Viewers could log on to our website and read about six different heroes, then choose their favorite three. Our three viewer nominated heroes were Mary Peter, Jennifer Pierce and Cheyenne Key. The other six honorees were Jared Smith, Jeff Eakins, Eric Holm, Bob Keesler, Deb Merrick and Paul "Doc" Thompson. Congratulations to you all!

The luncheon was sponsored by Bay News 9, Bright House Networks, Outback Steakhouse, and the American Red Cross. All proceeds will benefit the Tampa Bay chapter of the American Red Cross.
