Black & Blue SaladINGREDIENTS:
2 C. head lettuce
2 C spring mix
2 T. chopped red onion
2 T. chopped tomato
2 T. crisp crumbled bacon
1/2 C. blue cheese crumbles
1 C. crisp deep fried onion strings
your choice of:
4oz. sirloin steak, blackened tuna or blackened salmon
Onion StringsSlice onion very thin and spread on to a pan. Sprinkle with 2 T. cajun spice and let is sit for 15 minutes. Lightly coast with flour and then toss gently, carefully keeping the onions from clumping together. Deep fry in 400 degree oil. Remove when lightly brown and drain on paper towels.
Assemble:Mix lettuce together in deep salad bowl. Edge bowl with red onion, crisp bacon crumbles and chopped tomato. On 1/3 of plate spread the blue cheese crumbles. Down center of plate, arrange onion strings. Arrange choice of steak, tuna or salmon on other third of plate. Top with creamy garlic dressing.
