Gorgeous food, a climate controlled outdoor dining area, and a dedicated owner and chef.
Those are all things Tampa Bay On Demand's Dining Out reporter Mike Reeves noticed at Chez Bryce on Davis Island.
The atmosphere is casual and there are several choices of seating choices including the dining room and bar.
Diners will most likely spot the owner and chef hard at work.
Bryce Whittlesey says, "We take all of the classic techniques and we apply them in more of a modern presentation. So we're using fresh ingredients with a big focus on fresh herbs. I love fresh herbs. I love the olive oil. I call it all the flavors of the sun."
Whittlesey is a Tampa native who honed his craft while living in France for several years.
His style of cooking is big on flavor and color, but not necessarily

heavy calorie-laden foods.
But for those who don't mind a hearty dish, the macaroni and cheese recipe actually belongs to Whittlesey's son.
Chez Bryce is open every day except Monday for lunch and dinner.
A special Sunday brunch starts at 10 a.m.
Catering, takeout, and reservations are all available.
