Michael Jackson: He can't (won't) come home again
NEW YORK (AP) - It may be a nice place to visit, but
apparently Michael Jackson doesn't want to live here. At least if
you believe what his dad is saying. Joseph Jackson says his son
does plan to return to the U.S. at some point but that it's unlikely
he will call America home again. The elder Jackson says his son
will probably stop in the states, but "not to live." The reason? His dad says the pop star has received a lot of threats in the U.S. Jackson was acquitted of child molestation charges back in June. Since his acquittal, he has been living in Bahrain and his lawyers have said that he no longer considers his Neverland Ranch in California his home. Jackson's dad says he can't blame him. As Joe Jackson put it: "They didn't treat him right here," adding that if he were in his son's shoes, he wouldn't come back, either.

Alternative: Coldplay fans reveal tour dates
LOS ANGELES (AP) - It was Coldplay's fans who announced the new Coldplay tour. The band set up a web site at www.TalkTheTour.com, which was launched Monday. For every 33,000 fans who signed up, a new Coldplay tour date would be revealed. They figured that would take a while, but Capitol Records
reports it took 51 hours to reveal all 26 dates. Those who sign up gets the chance to pre-order tickets and see the video for the song "Talk," plus they get entered into a drawing for prizes. The tour begins January 25 in Seattle.

Usher and SunTrust Banks have teamed up for the Usher Visa gift

and the other is him silhouetted on stage. Denominations are
available from $25 to $500, and the cardholder's name is
embossed on the card. A portion of the proceeds will benefit
Usher's New Look Foundation, which helps disadvantaged youth. The
cards can be purchased through www.SunTrust.com/Usher, or
by calling SunTrust at 800-318-0210.

Metallica tiki bobbleheads for sale
UNDATED (AP) - Imagine if natives of the South Pacific carved
Metallica statues out of wood. That's pretty much what a new set of
Metallica bobbleheads looks like. The bobbleheads are of each
member of the band done in Tiki style. All four are also put on a
single totem pole. They're made of resin, not wood, and they're on
sale in specialty stores. They can be viewed at www.Figures.com.

Brooks and Dunn: Kix Brooks, Radio Host
NASHVILLE (AP) - It seems Kix Brooks of Brooks and Dunn has a
little extra time on his hands, now that his term heading up the
CMA Board of Directors is over. Brooks will be the new host for ABC Radio's "American Country Countdown." He'll take over as the host of the show in January.

Reba McEntire: Hosting the family television awards
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Reba McEntire will host the seventh annual
Family Television Awards show at the end of this month. The Family
Friendly Programming Forum presents the awards show, and a
spokeswoman calls McEntire "a great entertainer and a solid role
model." The country singer-and-sitcom actress stars in the WB show "Reba." She first hosted the awards in 2000. The Family Television Awards will be taped November 30 and aired on the WB on December 11.

TV and Film

Nicole Richie - Talks about Paris Hilton on Leno
BURBANK, Calif. (AP) - The next season of "The Simple Life"
won't be so simple. Nicole Richie tells Jay Leno she and Paris Hilton won't be doing any scenes together. Richie says "it's great" she won't have to actually be with Hilton. Neither Richie nor Hilton is revealing the reason for their feud. But Richie tells "The Tonight Show" there's "no" chance they'll make up. As for "The Simple Life," even though Fox canceled has canceled the show, the production company hopes to place it on another network.

Paris Hilton, Friends in fender-bender
LOS ANGELES (AP) - If anyone but Paris Hilton were in a
fender-bender, it probably wouldn't make the news. But, when she
sneezes the crowd goes wild. Early Wednesday morning Hilton and
three friends were leaving the very hip Element night club in Hollywood. They piled into a silver Bentley with Hilton sitting shotgun. Videotape on TMZ.com seems to show that Hilton's friend, Stavros Niarchos III was the driver. He started the engine and drove right into a big truck that was parked directly in front of him. The Bentley got a couple of good scratches. Police say he drove off to avoid paparazzi, stopped and drove off again. No one was hurt and no one was cited.

Derailed-Jennifer Aniston
NEW YORK (AP) - Jennifer Aniston wondered at first if she could
pull off her sexy, dark role in "Derailed." She found out it wasn't as hard as she thought. Even the rape scene. Aniston says it was so choreographed and controlled that it didn't bother her at all. She said as soon as they yelled "cut!" she was "out of it." "Derailed" opens tomorrow.
