The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is searching for a person of interest in connection with a double murder.

The bodies of 47-year-old Lorelei Fairall and her boyfriend, 46-year-old Michael Moore, were found Wednesday afternoon inside a home on Pennington Road in northwest Hillsborough County, east of Citrus Park. However, investigators believe the victims were shot and killed Tuesday night.

Detectives are looking for Fairall's ex-boyfriend, 63-year-old Michael Melberg, who may have information on the case. He is a white male, about 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, with light, dirty blond hair. He is believed to be driving a 2001 four-door, beige Toyota Camry, with Florida tag #H81YFY. He may be armed.

Sheriff's office records show deputies were called to the home where the murders took place in December 2002 to help Melberg move his belongings out. They were called to the house again last April when Melberg was apparently trying to get into the house. He said he was there to collect some of his furniture and money.

Melberg may be driving a vehicle similar to this one.

Melberg has been living in California, but was seen in the Tampa area recently.

Anyone with information on Melberg's whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff's office at 813-247-8200.

The employer of the victims at Pharmerica in Sabal Park off Falkenburg Road reported them missing when they didn't show up for work Wednesday.

Neighbor Orlando Maddox was shocked to hear the news and said his neighborhood is the type of place where he feels comfortable leaving his doors unlocked.

"I've left my truck doors unlocked overnight and one night I left my garage door up,'' Maddox said. "I mean this is very shocking."
