The couple was in court again Friday. |
A judge made that ruling Friday, while the Department of Children and Families investigates new accusations against the couple.
Arthur and Lori Allain headed back to a courtroom Friday to face new allegations of sexual and physical abuse of a 10-year-old girl left in their care.
The Allains' court-appointed attorney Jim Dysart said the allegations are ridiculous.
"It's so bizarre and so in question and there are so many issues surrounding it," said Dysart. "I don't even want to discuss it. I think it's just a bunch of garbage."
For several minutes behind closed doors, DCF representatives and the Allains' attorney met with a Hernando County judge.
He ruled the Allains would have to move out of their adult daughter's house and leave their four sons in her custody.
Last week, authorities said they found the 10-year-old who was in the Allains' care weighing less than 35 pounds.
The Allains stuck to their story that the child had an eating disorder all along and they did everything they could to get the girl help.

Lori Allain said more help should have been provided for the child in her care. |
Lori Allain blames the state and DCF for not getting more involved with the case sooner.
"If they are going to put children in homes, everyone should have help available to them, not just relative caregivers and not just foster care," Allain said.
Both sides will return to the Hernando County Courthouse July 6.
The Allains said they're thankful the judge granted them some time off for a vacation with their four children under the supervision of their older daughter.
Their attorney said foster parents receive a monthly stipend from the state and are trained to handle children with behavioral or physical problems.
Non-relative placements only qualify for food stamps and a limited number of other benefits.
