Deputies injured in accident at darkened intersection

Power outages might be to blame for an accident involving two Hillsborough sheriff's deputies Monday morning.

Deputies Christopher Depolis and Amy Pinne were en route to a burglary call when their patrol car slammed into another car at the Durant and Turkey Creek Road intersection, where the lights weren't working.

The patrol car skidded across the road and hit a building.

Pinne will be in the hospital for a couple of days. Depolis, who was driving the car at the time of the accident, was treated and released.
