Citrus teacher's aide arrested again

A Citrus High School teacher's aide was arrested for the second straight day Thursday and now faces four counts of lewd and lascivious battery on a child.

Thirty-five-year-old Tammy Lee Huggins of Hernando previously admitted to detectives she had sex with a 15-year-old Citrus High student numerous times since December. She faces three counts for those incidents. She faces one count for allegedly having sex with a 16-year-old Citrus High student.

"We found out that we do have another victim in the case," said Charles Schannel, a detective with the Citrus County Sheriff's Office. "The victim is a student at Citrus High School, 16 years of age at the time of the incident, which occurred back in April 2004. She was rearrested on the same charge from victim number one, which was lewd and lascivious battery, one count, and her bond's gonna be $5,000."

Huggins posted $15,000 bond for the original charges before being arrested again on $5,000 bond.

Huggins resigned after she finished teaching a class Monday. She was a jobs coach and helped students get work with local businesses.

Huggins' children, a teenage daughter and a young son, were both aware of her relationship with the 15-year-old student.
