Police wrote more than 300,000 traffic tickets this year. |
The Hillsborough County court system stands to make millions of dollars because deputies wrote 300,000 traffic tickets this year.
The increase helped boost court revenue by more than $31 million.
However, the county won't get to see all that money because it has to skim off $5 million for the counties across the state that could not cover their court budgets.
Pinellas is one of the counties on the receiving end of the deal.
