Sarasota student facing sexual battery charges

A Sarasota high school student is accused of sexually attacking another student.

Police say 17-year-old Jared Jenkins attacked a 14-year-old female student in a boys restroom at Booker High School on Wednesday.

Jenkins was booked into the Sarasota County Jail on Thursday morning and is being charged as an adult. He is facing one count of sexual battery.
