Dwight Gooden was sentenced to three years probation and anger management classes. |
Former major-league pitching star
Dwight Gooden will pay the price for his latest indiscretion, but not with jail time.
In court Thursday, a judge sentenced Gooden, 41, on violation of probation and battery charges from two different cases.
Gooden will serve three years probation and must go to anger management classes for six months. Gooden turned himself in to investigators several days after they pulled him over on the side of the road in August and he then fled.
He also got 45 days in jail for a battery charge, but was credited for time served. The anger management classes must be completed within six months.
