Murder investigation in Clearwater

The beating happened early Wednesday morning.

Authorities in Clearwater are trying to figure out who's responsible for beating a man to death.

Investigators say 53-year-old James Siebert was attacked outside of his home at Salley Lane Apartments on Salley Lane as he was getting in his truck to go to work early Wednesday morning.

Siebert was treated by paramedics at the scene and was transported to Morton Plant Hospital, where he died Thursday Morning.

Authorities have no suspects at this time.
