A man is dead following a fight in Tampa Wednesday evening.
The incident started with a fistfight between two friends at a motel near Florida Avenue and Stanley Street in east Tampa.
One man kicked the other man in the head, and the man who was kicked was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The other man walked across the street to a parking lot of a law firm. An employee of the law firm asked him to leave, and he refused.
The employee's husband, a paralegal at the law firm, came out and tried to get the man to leave the property.
The two men got into a shouting match that escalated into a another fistfight.
"A fight then broke about between the two men," said Tampa Police Spokesperson Laura McElroy. "It then dragged across two city streets. The two men were fighting and the wife was also involved."
McElroy said the man who was on the law firm's property appeared to be getting the better of the paralegal. The paralegal took out a knife and stabbed the man. He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital, where he died.
There's no word yet about whether any charges will be filed.
