School officials said all 600 Cross Bayou Elementary students would be moved to new schools on Monday until the Schiavo drama near the school calms down.

They have already made adjustments with busses getting in and out of the school because of the heavy traffic.

Pinellas County Schools Superintendent Clayton Wilcox said the primary reason for moving the children is safety. He said Pinellas Park Police expressed their concern about security and staff, and that led to the decision to hold classes at other schools.

Enterprise Village will be the staging area. School busses will pick up children as usual and transport them to Enterprise. Children will spend the day with their regular classmates and teachers at either Walsingham Elementary or Southern Oak Elementary, both located on adjacent campuses.

Busses will pick up the children at Enterprise Village and take them home at the usual time.
