A waitress at Lone Star Steakhouse in Pasco County has admitted to altering credit card receipts to increase her tips, according to a sheriff's office report.

Laurie Dennington, 26, was arrested Wednesday and is at the Land O' Lakes Jail, charged with scheme to defraud. Records show she altered 10 receipts since May 6, totaling $133.

A Lone Star district manager told a deputy he would try to contact each customer whose receipt was altered.

Dennington worked at the Lone Star at 6815 Cinema Road in Port Richey. She was on probation for check fraud and said she needed the money to support her 4-month-old baby, according to the report.
