Polk teen found safe in Texas

Bartow police report a 13-year-old girl has been located safe in Odessa, Texas, after she was originally believed to be in the company of sexual predator Kevin Slagle.

Slagle, 47, is being held without bond in Hardee County. He's charged with interfering with child custody and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Bay News 9 will not identify the girl in accordance with our crime guidelines.
