The splash of the vehicle woke Tom Healy; he called 911.
A newspaper delivery woman is recovering from a unintended swim in Citrus County.

At about 4 a.m. Tuesday, the driver of a Citrus County Chronicle newspaper delivery van made a wrong turn and went off the ramp at a pier. The vehicle was submerged in water.

Thomas Latwinas and his wife, Trula, were trapped inside.

Tom Healy was asleep on his boat when the crash woke him.

"The man got out of the window and hollered for help," Healy said. "We called 911 and police were here within three minutes. Police broke the back window and pulled the woman out. Both she and her husband were in good shape."

Healy credits the quick action of the police for the successful rescue.
