Missing woman in Temple Terrace

Neighbors in Temple Terrace in north Tampa said a woman with a predictable pattern hasn't been seen in days, and police said family members have not heard from her and she hasn't shown up for work.

Sandra Prince, 59, is described by Temple Terrace police as keeping a normal routine. She has no health or mental problems, has a stable job and family living in the area. She reportedly planned a trip to north Florida last weekend.

A phone call to police led to her home being cordoned off and a missing person investigation getting underway.

Police said Prince has not shown up for work since Dec. 30, though her employer had her scheduled to be there. Investigators said they are treating her home as a crime scene because when they arrived they discovered a back door open.

They said there were no signs of forced entry or any signs a crime was committed from evidence collected inside.

Temple Terrace Police Public Information Officer Paula MacDonald said until Prince comes forward, they are treating the case as if a crime was committed.

"This is a close-knit community, the neighbors are pretty close," MacDonald said. "It was obviously noted by one of the neighbors that she wasn't following her particular patterns and behavior."
