A body found in this wooded area near Moon Lake Road . . .

A body found Friday morning in Moon Lake may be that of a woman missing almost a month.

The body was discovered in the woods off Nassau Drive near Moon Lake Road.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office has not released the identity of the person, but the family of a missing woman, 23-year-old Karlee Althaus, believes it is her body. Althaus disappeared in late September.

The sheriff's office says it was tipped off that the body was there. A

private investigator hired by the family found information that led detectives to search the area.

The sheriff's office has not released the cause of death and has not said how long the body may have been there.
