Sarasota police search for missing elderly man

Sarasota police are searching for a missing elderly man.

Police said 66-year-old Paul Sifton was last seen Tuesday at the J.H. Floyd Sunshine Manor on 18th Street about 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Sifton suffers from dementia but walks very well. He was last seen wearing a red long sleeve shirt, gray jacket, jeans and a white hat with a logo on it. He's 5-feet 4-inches tall with brown hair.

A witness reported possibly seeing Sifton in the area of LockwoodRidge Road and Tallavast Road about 8:30 Tuesday evening.
