Skeletal remains found in Hillsborough

A day at work turned into a disturbing discovery for some communication workers Monday.

Crews found skeletal remains at 12th Street Northeast and Highway 41 North in Hillsborough County.

They were digging to do fiber optic work when they came across the old bones. It appears the bones had been there for quite some time because they were semi bleached out.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating the discovery.
