TAMPA (Bay News 9) -- A couple of die-hard Bucs fans in Hillsborough County are taking their love of the team to a new level.

Derek Fournier and Dave Sanchez started a fan-based Internet talk show - What The Buc - that's gaining popularity.

It's pure grassroots radio, where the two friends broadcast live Monday and Thursday espousing on all things Bucs.

"We're just normal dudes who figured out how to do this stuff on-line and talk about the thing we love," Fournier said. "You have to love the Bucs, be computer savvy and be able to sit in front of a computer at 7 o'clock on Mondays and Thursdays."

Sanchez said it takes some time to prepare for the show, but it's a labor of love as they take live calls and answer e-mails.

"We try to provide information to our fans and to our listeners on more detailed stuff than what you get reading the newspaper or what you get from listening to the radio on the way home from work," Sanchez said.

"It does take up time. But the time that we put into it is worth it to me. We'd be sitting here talking sports and the Bucs anyway."

Both men said the response has been encouraging.

"The feedback we've gotten has been overwhelmingly positive from the people who are listening," Fournier said.

The show airs Monday and Thursday nights at 7 p.m. On Monday, they talk about what happened in the game the day before. On Thursday, they preview the Bucs upcoming game.
