Yacht catches fire in St. Petersburg marina

Pinellas County fire crews responded to a boat fire Tuesday morning at the Maximo Marina in St. Petersburg.

The front of a 35-foot yacht caught fire, sending flames and smoke through the front of the boat, which was docked in its slip at the marina.

The fire was quickly put out and no injuries were reported. Fire officials are not sure how the blaze began but are investigating the incident.
