HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY (Bay News 9) -- Hillsborough County school officials are keeping a close eye on a Valrico elementary school.
According to Bay News 9's partner paper, the St. Petersburg Times, parents have been complaining about Alafia Elementary's principal for some time. Their complaints focus on student safety and teacher turnover and morale.
Superintendent MaryEllen Elia has sent a team to the school to investigate the complaints. The assessment group will report their findings to district administrators, the principal, school employees and parents.
