Changes in store for PSTA bus routes
Changes begin today for PSTA services throughout Pinellas County.
Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority bus route changes will affect riders throughout the county.
The changes will get rid of some routes all together, shorten some service hours and raise fares.
Officials said the changes are a result of budget cuts. Numbers some that ridership is up but it does not make up for the millions of dollars being lost.
The new prices are $4 for daily unlimited rides and $55 for a monthly pass.
Administrators said they are looking for other sources of revenue to help make bus rides smoother in the future.
