TAMPA (Bay News 9) -- The James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital honored veterans Tuesday with a parade, ceremony and cookout at the Fisher House near the Tampa hospital.
More than 20 veteran and civic groups marched in the parade, including the Women's Army Corps, Boy Scouts, and U.S. Navy.
The Tampa Bay Children's Chorus also performed for the veterans.
The chorus is celebrating its 20th Anniversary and several children have parents serving in the armed forces overseas.
The hospital recently dedicated a new 33,000-square-foot Polytrauma Transitional Rehabilitation Building and Outpatient Clinic complex. Polytrauma means serious injuries to multiple organs.
