Silver Alert issued for missing St. Petersburg man

ST. PETERSBURG (Bay News 9) -- A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing 82-year-old St. Petersburg man.

According to a report, Malcolm C. Mitchell was last seen at 10 a.m. Wednesday as he drove away from his home in a brown 1988 Chevrolet Suburban with Florida tag number H978DV.

Mitchell suffers from dementia and is said to like to spend time at the Home Depot at 4040 Park Blvd. in Pinellas Park.

He is described as a white male, 6 feet tall and has an average build. He was last seen wearing blue work pants, a long sleeve blue shirt and a green baseball cap.
