Jennifer Johnson was found dead in Lakeland on Tuesday.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY (Bay News 9) -- The missing Tampa woman found dead in an abandoned Lakeland home called 911 before her death - from the trunk of her own car.

According to the Plant City Police Department, dispatchers there received a call from Johnson on Saturday. Neither Plant City police or Tampa police officials released any details of the call.

Officials with the Tampa Police Department, who listened to the call on Thursday, said the tape is "a very disturbing call, a very chilling call.'

Johnson was last seen with Vincent Brown, her ex-boyfriend, at the Apollo Club on 40th Street in Tampa last Friday. She was reported missing a day later.

Brown, who is the father of Johnson's daughter, is being held without bail on an unrelated charge of violating his probation.

Officials said he is not cooperating in the Johnson investigation.

Johnson's body was found Tuesday night in an abandoned home in Lakeland. She was 31 years old.

Authorities said the 911 call will be crucial to the investigation as it will help them determine a timeline and identify any possible suspects.
