Soccer coach accused of having sex with teen
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY (Bay News 9) -- A male soccer coach at a Hillsborough County high school is accused of having sex with a 17-year-old girl.
Last night, deputies arrested Ronald Lewis, 37, of Valrico, a soccer coach and computer lab manager at Newsome High School in Lithia.
Lewis is charged with seven counts of unlawful sex with a minor.
Deputies said the girl admitted to the relationship and said they met many times from February through November of last year.
A tip from a parent led to the investigation.
Lewis has been suspended with pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
