Accident kills motorcyclist in Tampa
The accident happened at Hillsborough Avenue and the Veterans Expressway.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the fatal accident happened at the intersection of Hillsborough Avenue and the Veterans Expressway in Tampa.
Investigators said Antionette Morello was speeding when she ran a red light.
She collided with James Dean, who was traveling on his motorcycle through the intersection. Dean was thrown from his motorcycle during the crash and died at the scene.
Morello was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. She was later arrested and charged with DUI manslaughter.
