PASCO COUNTY (Bay News 9) -- The sale of houses in the Bay area may be on the way back, at least in Pasco County.
The West Pasco Board of Realtors said sales have jumped every month so far this year.
The board said March sales were up 27 percent over February and 55 percent over January.
Pasco resident Wendy Thompson said she needed more room, and the bigger house she just bought sold for the same price as her old one.
"The main thing was the space its just a great area," Thompson said.
If the housing trend continues in west Pasco County, realtors said they'll beat last year's sales by the end of this summer.
Realtors said housing sales are rolling again because prices dropped to where they should be -- mostly due to short sales.
