PINELLAS COUNTY (Bay News 9) -- So what would it be like traversing downtown St. Petersburg to find parking and then walk to a new Tampa Bay Rays' stadium?
A big headache, according to an exclusive St. Petersburg Times/Bay News 9 poll of St. Petersburg voters to be released Sunday.
A significant majority of the poll voters said there is not enough parking in downtown St. Petersburg to support the team's proposed 34,000-seat waterfront stadium.
The poll surveyed 601 voters about the parking issues surrounding the ballpark, whether the St. Petersburg city council should place a referendum about building the park on the November ballots and whether voters even want the stadium built.
Bay News 9, Bay News 9.com and the St. Petersburg Times will release the exact parking poll numbers and even more results from the multi-question poll on Sunday.
