TAMPA (Bay News 9) -- There are possible new leads in the 1997 disappearance of Sabrina Aisenberg.
According to Bay News 9's newspaper partner, the St. Petersburg Times, investigators are back in the Valrico neighborhood where the Aisenbergs used to live.
They are reportedly asking about people who had boats for sale at the time and are asking questions about a specific individual who is currently jailed on unrelated charges. Bay News 9 is not naming the person of interest in accordance with our Crime Guidelines.
The Times says some neighbors in the area say investigators have made progress in the case.
They also report the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has followed almost 2,000 tips since Sabrina's disappearance from her home on Nov. 24, 1997.
There has not been an arrest in the case.
